From the Symphony’s Kalamazoo Kids in Tune and Orchestra Rouh student programs to community student ensembles like the Crescendo Fiddlers, you can hear young talent before each concert.

Program Notes

Every Masterworks Series concert program includes Program Notes in your program book, a guide to what you’ll hear that evening! Program Notes include stories, anecdotes, and fun facts about the music and composers.

Grab a beverage and enjoy some light reading in the lobby before the concert, or grab your seat early and read through the notes before the concert starts.

AfterWORDS

Most Masterworks Series concerts include an AfterWORDS discussion! These are included with your ticket! Be sure to check your Visit Prep email for details.

These informal conversations with a Q&A are held after each Masterworks performance (Grand Tier Lobby in Miller Auditorium or the Reception Room at Chenery Auditorium). Typically led by Symphony Music Director Julian Kuerti, AfterWORDS talks welcome guest artists and musicians to reflect on the performance and answer any questions you may have.
