Every season, the KSO Partner School music program reaches 2,500 students in area schools.
About KSO Partner Schools
Each year, the Symphony matches our Artists In Residence with area schools for year-long partnerships. Musicians work hand-in-hand with music teachers and the KSO Education team to design and implement collaborative, creative projects that explore the fundamentals of music and use cross-curricular connections to incorporate literacy, math, visual art, and more. The students and musicians perform their work together for teachers, peers, and parents.
Whether creating Musical Storybooks together, exploring fractions through music, or designing and composing with their own system of musical notation, students and KSO musicians connect in ways that deepen understanding and create memorable musical experiences.
