How We Share Your Personal Information
The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra may also share your personal information with certain third-party service providers, such as contractors, agents, or sponsors, who help us manage or provide our services by, for example: developing or supporting products and features; sending communications on our behalf; processing payment; fulfilling orders; auditing; processing data or statistics; and serving, customizing or delivering marketing. If we allow third parties to access the personal information we collect, we will have contractual provisions or other appropriate protections in place to ensure such access is for limited purposes and in compliance with this Policy.
When entering into performance partnerships, both organizations may have access to your data. Examples would be: sharing information with a third-party performing arts facility or a third-party dance company we have entered into partnerships with. If the Symphony initiates these relationships, the policy will be stated on the performance pages. By purchasing tickets to these select performances, you agree to have your data shared between the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and our third-party partner.
We may also release your personal information to third parties if we believe such release is necessary (i) to comply with the law (e.g., a legal process or a statutory authorization), (ii) to apply or enforce our user agreements, (iii) to protect our rights or property, (iv) as part of a corporate reorganization, consolidation, merger, or sale of substantially all of the assets of Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, or (v) if we reasonably believe that a danger to any person requires disclosure of such personal information.
Cookie Policy
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies set by the website are called “first party cookies”. Cookies set by parties other than the website are called “third party cookies”. Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality, such as advertising or website analytics, to be provided on or through the website. The parties that set these third party cookies can recognize your computer or device both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites and/or mobile apps.
Cookies On This Site
We use several different kinds of cookies on this site, including strictly necessary cookies, which are cookies that are necessary for the site to function and cannot be switched off in our systems; performance cookies, which allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site; and functional cookies, which enable the site to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. Cookies are not the only way to track visitors to a website. We may use similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our sites. These technologies often depend on cookies to function properly, and so disabling cookies may impair their functioning. If you sign up to receive our e-mails, we will also use cookies in conjunction with these emails. When your browser downloads any graphic content in the e-mail, we will also place a cookie on your computer that will tell us if you come to our website at a later date.
In addition to our own cookies, we collaborate with various third-party service providers who also use cookies to help us optimize our website, to understand more about the visitors to our website, and to advertise to you.
Google Services
We use Google Analytics to help us gather statistical information about the visitors to our Site and to market our services. This information is collected via cookies and other identifiers that we and third parties place on our site. We and our third party partners may use this information to gain a better understanding of the users of our site, to advertise to you, and to improve our services. To understand how Google collects and processes data, including through the use of cookies and other technologies, click here. To opt out of the Google Analytics, we encourage you to check out Google Analytics’ currently available opt-outs for the web.
How We Use Cookies
We and our third party partners may use cookies to gain a better understanding of the users of our Site, customize your Site experience, and to improve our services. We also use cookies to provide you with interest-based advertising, which shows interest-based ads to you on sites across the Internet. To support interest-based advertising, we and the companies we have contracted with may use anonymous information about your visits to our and other websites and applications. If you have provided us with other personal information as described in this policy, we may associate that personal information with information gathered through cookies and other tracking technology to offer increased personalization and functionality. Third parties who place cookies and other tracking technology on our Site may also connect the information that they collect from these tools to other sources of information. To learn more about the use of cookies, pixels, or other technologies to deliver more relevant advertising, and to better understand how to manage your personal information, including access to and use by certain service providers, please visit http://www.aboutads.info/choices.
How to Disable Cookies
Depending on the type of browser and device that you use, you may have the ability to control the type of information that these tools use. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. For more information about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your computer or mobile device and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronlinechoices.com. Some Internet browsers also may be configured to send “Do Not Track” signals to the online services that you visit. We currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” or similar signals. To find out more about “Do Not Track,” please visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com.
How We Protect Your Personal Information
The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra uses commercially reasonable efforts to protect your personal information against unauthorized access and unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
