Tyler Family Symphony in the Summer Concert

Join the Kalamazoo Symphony and the City of Portage for a free concert at the Overlander Bandshell to kick off the Fourth of July weekend in celebration of the USA’s 250th birthday!

Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy a beautiful Michigan summer night filled with the sounds of the Kalamazoo Symphony.

Parking

Parking opens at 5 p.m. with a drop-off loop available. The Central Park parking lot is reserved for those with special needs only.

Additional parking is available at City Hall (7900 South Westnedge Ave), Portage Zhang Senior Center (203 E Centre Ave), and Portage Community Center (325 East Centre Ave). Shuttle service is available beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Food Trucks

Two food trucks are scheduled for the evening: Floatin Franks (hot dogs, burgers, vegetarian option) and The Little Scoop Novelty Ice Cream Truck.

Rain Plan

There will be a rain site at Portage Central High School Auditorium. More details to come if needed.
