Mauricio Salas is a dancer, producer, and cultural manager with more than 15 years of experience in the Peruvian cultural sector. He was director of the National Artistic Companies of Peru and general director and programmer of the Gran Teatro Nacional del Perú until 2021.

Salas was also a founding partner of Compañía de Folklore Peruexpresión (2005) and creator of the National Folkloric Ballet of Peru (2008), the most important artistic company in his country. Most recently, he became the founder and director of Killa Dance Project (2024), in North Carolina.

Currently, he is the director of Salas Art Agency (2022), an organization that promotes artistic projects between Peru and the United States.
