When did you first discover your instrument? How old were you?
Sixth grade. I was playing the trumpet poorly and heard someone playing the horn. I decided I HAD to make that sound!
Who is a musician/mentor who inspires you? What makes them special?
Gail Williams is the most efficient horn player I know. She never stops improving!
What is your favorite piece you’ve ever played? What did it feel like to play?
Brahms’ Requiem is a transformative piece.
What do you love most about Kalamazoo? What are your hobbies/interests outside of the music world?
I love Water Street Coffee and Bell’s Brewery! My hobbies include knitting and flying stunt kites.
